The Dog Assembly: Individually they are studies of the intricate expression and personality of a dog. Together, they are a celebration in the diversity, beauty, and character of the canine world. A collection of 260 unique pieces featuring dogs of different breeds, sizes, shapes and personalities!
Created by photographer Butch McCartney, The Dog Assembly is 20-years in the making, with portraits dating back to 2004. These images capture the heart & soul of what Butch strives to create with every dog sitting in front of his camera. His favorite faces, from two decades devoted to dogs, in one collection.

Pouring through more than 40 hard drives, some of which sound like they are in pain while accessing their information, was a tedious process. Months of planning, re-editing, and curating went into this project that represents McCartney’s entire career.
